Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD). Our full-time doctoral students are funded for the first four years, September - May (effective for PhD students admitted for Fall 2018 and later), which includes a living stipend and covers tuition, fees, and health insurance.

Our Nursing Science PhD program prepares you to conduct clinical research to advance the nursing care of individuals and populations. You will gain the knowledge and experience to launch and sustain externally funded programs of research and to assume the role of a clinical scholar.
This Structured PhD is available as a four-year full-time programme and as a six-year part-time programme (360 ECTS). Each student must obtain 30 ECTS during their PhD programme. Students select modules in consultation with their supervisor. There are a number of professional skills modules available, as well as advanced discipline-specific.

Nursing is a highly regulated profession and not every school in every state has the right guidelines put into place in order to be considered acceptable to every state nursing board. Since all states have different regulations when it comes to nursing licensure and continuing education, some schools are barred from educating nurses from specific states.
